Goodness!

This is typical of the girls' time together - Annie drank water out of Raegan's pool, so Raegan walked over and splashed in Annie's water bowl.

How rude of us to talk on the phone at the dinner table!

Move over iPad! Giant calculators are the next big thing!

My mom bought Raegan a dog bed and of course Annie wanted it.

I had dinner with friends and this is what Raegan did under her grandparents' care - ate an apple while fully dressed in the bath tub.

We're back and getting settled in from our trip. Raegan was great on the plane. She played from Nashville to Chicago. We stopped to pick up passengers, changed her diaper, and hoped she would sleep. It took at least 30 minutes for her to settle down. She was so tired but put up a good fight. After she knocked over 2 cups of Coke Zero on my pants and shoes she eventually fell asleep, and I was able to read a little bit. I started Eat, Pray, Love a few days ago and really enjoy it so far! For those of you who have read it, I'm currently in India.

We switched Raegan to whole milk and she loves it! Hopefully she'll gain a little weight from it and be able to face forward soon in the car. She was 18 pounds & 10 ounces at her 12 month check up. I was a little disappointed because she measured 20 pounds on our bathroom scale at home. She's trying to say a lot of words. Every dog (and an occasional cat) is now "Ay-ee" = Annie dog. She points to clocks and says "tih-tuh" for tick tock. She started noticing clocks a few months ago, and I'd say "Tick tock goes the clock." She also tries to say "thank you" when we hand her something. She loves to cough and pat herself on the chest. When she was younger she seemed really confused and concerned when I coughed. For some reason I started patting my chest and saying "I'm okay." Now when she coughs, we jokingly act very concerned and say "goodness, that's a terrible cough." I think she's trying to say "goodness" when she pats her chest. She has two molars coming in on the top, and they seem to bother her at times. She loves her teething tablets and always asks for more after I give her two. I have to be careful not to let her OD. It probably doesn't help that I refer to them as "teeth candy."

Stay tuned for a couple of giveaways of my designs that will be featured on other blogs soon.

Dana, this post made me laugh so hard! What great pictures of the Raegan-Annie relationship. Thanks for doing the blog. It is really neat to watch Raegan grow up from afar.
