Raegan is enrolled in a class at The Little Gym and she is having the best time! We go once a week for 45 minutes with babies who are 10-18 months. It's a parent/child class, so parents must stay and assist their child with all of the activities. So far, we have had bubbles, parachute time, summersaults, music, a big air mattress, and lots of gymnastics mats. She loves clapping for the other kids when we are asked to clap for each other. She's friendly to the other kids, but I don't think she sees them as playmates yet.
There is a nice structure to the time, but the teacher also understands that the babies are going to wander and explore. I appreciate that because Raegan and another little guy are the class wanderers :) We are rarely on the center mat with the other kids and parents because I am leisurely following her and bringing her back to the activity. There are a few minutes alloted for exploration but Raegan uses most of the 45 minutes as exploration, and she is fearless. It's fun to watch her and wonder if this is part of her personality and an early indication of how she will continue to be as she grows. From what I have heard, Ryan was quite the wandering child and still is!
She loves picking up the bells and putting them in the box after our welcome song.
"Where are the other children?" you ask. They are with the teacher doing the current activity, and here's Raegan doing her own thing.
Her wandering buddy is in the back corner. They cross paths often but don't necessarily play with each other.
Checking out the teacher singing our goodbye song
She's very intrigued when several people are singing the same song.

FUN!! I my sister in law took Sydney to a thing like that and she LOVED it! I think we got a couple of gift certificates for something like this from Jess to. We will have to see how it goes!!
