Mr. Baldy

One of many wrecks she has with her car.

We borrowed Tony and Shaina's cooler and naturally turned it into a wagon.
She's brushing her teeth while she rides.

Monday we went to play group and Raegan had fun with a toy farm and got lots of attention from one of the older girls. Thursday morning we went out to breakfast since Ryan was able to go to the office later than usual. A man walked by her in the high chair and said "Hi, Mr. Baldy. How old is he?" I just answered 10 months and tried not to laugh. "Ok, well, bye Mr. Baldy." Oh, goodness. I laugh every time I think about it. She had on a pink and purple striped shirt and pink pants, but I didn't even bother to correct him because it was too funny.

Raegan has been signing "help" like crazy! A couple of times she dropped something out of her car seat while I was driving, and I saw her signing "help" in the mirror. I know she's dropping things on purpose at home, but it's hard to resist when she asks for help. This morning she dropped something and started signing before it hit the ground. I guess she likes the feedback. When I hand the object back, she waits for me to say and sign, "Thank you, mom." I say it with an enthusiastic tone, then say "You're welcome, Raegan" in my normal tone. She got a little impatient with us one night at dinner. Apparently I wasn't moving fast enough, so she kept pumping her arms and making bigger motions. Her version of the sign is a little more animated than how I demonstrate it to her :) She's doing great with her cup. I put the valve back in, and she's drinking water without making a mess. I think she just needed to see that the cup was more than a chew toy. She really likes the photo book full of her pictures. She has been interested in dumping out her books this week and she gets excited when she sees her picture on the front of the book. She points to a lot of objects and acts like she knows what they are, but everything is emphatically "deh" right now. I say, "Yep, that's the clock," so she feels like we understand each other.

She is becoming very difficult to change and sometimes it's exhausting. She rolls over and tries to get up. I usually have to lean over on her and say "be still" over and over. Sometimes she thinks it's funny and sometimes she fusses. This morning I was trying to get the clean diaper on and one of the snaps opened. I tried to snap it back as I was practically laying on her, and I exclaimed "Poop!" She thought it was really funny and laughed every time I said it. I tried "rats!" to see if she was just laughing at everything, but she didn't think it was as funny. She is certainly developing a sense of humor.

Well, I'm off to watch softball all weekend. The Super Regionals started last night. There were 2 unexpected wins last night, so I'm hoping for many more action-packed games.
