People All Over the World. . .

. . . join hands. Start a Meal Train, Meal Train!

After Raegan was born, I became an instant believer in the importance of help. We were very fortunate to have our parents visit us back-to-back, so we had help for about 3 weeks. They cooked, cleaned, and helped with Raegan so I could recover and adjusted to this new life. Our good friends here just had a baby 3 weeks early, and their families can't come right away. I found a great site called Meal Train to organize a meal calendar. Friends and family can sign up for a date within the specified window and tell others what they are bringing. It takes the guess work out of calling new parents and asking what night is best, what time, what do you like, etc. The calendar organizer can list the family's favorite foods as well as any dislikes or allergies. Then the site sends an e-mail reminder to everyone who signs up to bring a meal. It's so simple and will be a huge help to the family. You could also use this to support someone who's had a death in the family or an injury.
