Friendly Ghost

I'm not sure what to say about Raegan's latest fascination. She likes to walk around with a blanket over her head. She holds her arms out in front of her and looks out the bottom so she doesn't trip or run into things. As you can see in the pictures, she's perfectly happy to sit in the floor and have her milk with her head covered. Or she might wander over to the front door and drink her milk over there, covered up of course. She brings me the blanket multiple times a day and asks for help to cover her head. She has been jabbering non-stop for the past few days! She seems to know exactly what she's saying. Sometimes I can tell she's on cadence with some of her favorite books, like Dr. Seuss' ABCs. Other than walking around like a ghost, she spends a lot of her time rolling around on the couch and playing with the pillows.

Friday we visited baby Andrew. I got to hold him for all of 10 seconds before Raegan went berserk and I gave him back to Shaina so I could calm her down. Maybe she was jealous, but I held a 6 month old baby today and she was fine. She wanted to hug the baby but kept stopping herself at the last second. She does that with Annie, too. We finally got her a big girl car seat and she loves it! It's distracting having her facing forward because I want to turn around and see how cute she is. I also feel like I'm being watched.

We are letting her self-feed her morning yogurt. That's the only thing she eats with a spoon anymore. She hasn't had any purees in several weeks. The yogurt gets very messy. I bought bowls with suction cups on the bottom, and the package assured me she could not pick it up from the tray. Most of the time she uses her left hand to stir and scoop. I guess she sees me stir the yogurt when I open it, so she stirs it too. She ends up scooping with her bare hands and then drinking from the bowl like it's leftover cereal milk. It leaves her with a very cute yogurt mustache :) The bowl has also been upside down on her head like a hat.
