A Baby by Tuesday

I had an appointment today because I am still "with child." My plan was to beg to be induced tomorrow morning, but that can't happen. Tomorrow is treated as a holiday in hospital world since Saturday is July 4th, so they can't schedule inductions unless it's an emergency. As impatient as I am right now, I am happy to not be considered an emergency. My OB did a quick ultrasound to make sure the baby still has plenty of amniotic fluid and she does. Her heart rate is great and she is still quite active. She stripped my membranes again (hurt worse than last week) and said I am 3 cm, still 50% effaced. I am scheduled to be induced Tuesday morning if she doesn't come on her own before then. I'm still walking every day (usually twice) and trying to stay occupied. My Dr. happens to be the on-call OB this weekend, so hopefully things are shaping up for a 4th of July baby. If she comes before Tuesday, I'll spread the word as soon as we can.
