Isotopes

I had another challenging week in the autism class. We are still trying to learn the students and figure out what they like and what frustrates them. My favorite parts of the day are lunch and recess :) because we go outside and the weather is so nice.

Friday night we tried a new pizza place with Tony and Shaina. It received mixed reviews from the group, but I liked it. Saturday night we went to an Isotopes baseball game. They are the local minor league team who belong to the FL Marlins. Another one of Ryan's coworkers, JB, invited us to go with her. I don't particularly like watching baseball past the college level anymore, but I went anyways. It was enjoyable for 2 main reasons: the food was good, and the game went by fast! As long as there's good food, I can tolerate most things :)

I'm sad to see the Olympics come to an end, but the 2010 Winter games in Vancouver aren't too far from home. I'd love to be able to travel to Canada and see some of the events!  I've had 2 custom order this week for cards. My high school volleyball coach contacted me to design some invitations for a baby shower at her church, and a childhood softball friend contacted me to design a thank you note for her business. She sells Pampered Chef products and wants a thank you note to give to people who host a show for her. I appreciate both of them thinking of me. I'm going to start working on some Christmas designs soon. I know, I know, it's too early (and too hot) to be thinking about Christmas, but I want to make sure I have several designs ready for fall and winter.

Ryan and I should have a new nephew soon! Baby Alex is due in about a week, and everyone is ready for his arrival. Thanks for reading and have a great week!
