playing with her pup's ears
This is the first time she put them on by herself. So what, they're a little backwards, but she was very proud!
She picked out the pearls to complete her look.
I ordered Raegan a new pup blanket to have as a back-up. She saw that there are two of them, so I had to find a good hiding spot. She's still doing great with leaving the binky in her crib during the day. She drops it back in when we get her up from sleeping. She asks for it every now and then, but seems content to be told it's waiting on her at bedtime.
A couple of days ago we went for a walk in the neighborhood; Raegan ran most of it. We saw dogs and a new friend her age. Raegan said "meet you" and shook her hand. As we said goodbye to leave, they hugged. We've been practicing at home, and she has a nice hand shake. It started from just being silly one day and shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you!" (When I taught middle school and handed out awards at the end of the year, I couldn't believe how many kids didn't know how to shake hands. I got the dead fish almost every time, so I'm changing that, one child at a time). The next day we went for another walk and she was calling out, "Girl?! Girl?!" hoping we'd see the little girl again. It reminded me of the episode of "Friends" were Joey is frantically searching an apartment building and yelling "Hot girl?! HOT Girl?!" Raegan likes to take the doll and stroller on our walks, but I always end up carrying them when she gets distracted by dogs and mailboxes. Yesterday I had the stroller and doll while she walked, and I said "How is it that I always end up carrying everything?" She turned around and said "carry baby" and took the doll from me :) She's still as helpful as ever!

I love the "hot girl" Friends episode. I'm glad you had a good time with your mom. R must have been in heaven with all of Grandma's attention.
