Look out, Annie!

  • favorite reading material includes Dr. Seuss's ABCs, Goodnight, Gorilla, baby magazines, and picture books of herself and family members
  • naps from 11:00 - 1:00/1:30
  • "sings" in the car
  • new words/phrases: "tuck" (truck), "bye dee" (bye, everybody), "hey Annie", "A-bees" (ABCs), "buds" (birds), "ats dis" (What's this?), "hey, you!", "boop!" (a sound I've been making for a long time when she does something like poke her arm through her shirt sleeve while dressing), "deh shis" (There she is! when reappearing from hiding), "Hey, Dana" (still calling me Dana sometimes), "pag" (flag), "pane" (airplane), "Dee" (Gran-D), "Mee" (Mimi), "cick" (click, when I buckle her into the car seat), "pees" (please)
  • likes to try on adults' shoes and walks around in the them pretty well
  • size 3 diaper at night
  • size 5.5 shoes
  • weighs 20 pounds, 8 ounces
  • 18 month clothing
  • chewing on her fingers like crazy with her last set of molars on their way in
  • knows the motions to "Itsy Bitsy Spider"
  • points out the R and A in her ABC book when asked
  • walks around on her tiptoes like The Zookeeper in Goodnight Gorilla
  • developing an imagination - pretends to cook and eat what she made, then feeds us
  • makes up magic tricks like hiding her fork in her bib pocket and making it reappear
  • often hides behind furniture or goes to a corner when she poops
  • has done a few forwards rolls on her own on the bed - it's funny but also makes me nervous that she will try it on the floor
