14 months

In case Raegan were in danger of being neglected, here's a detailed 14 month update, old school like I used to do when she was a "baby."

• faces forward in her big girl car seat
• loves to wander the neighborhood several times a day and does not like to be confined to sidewalks
• responds to commands like "Bring me your shoes." "Sit in my lap (bap)."
• When we ask if she's ready for a nap she walks to the foot of the stairs and waits for us to move the gate so we can go upstairs
• loves whole milk and has a great appetite
• flips through pregnancy and baby magazines several times a day
• is transitioning to one nap a day
• jabbers a lot and rolls her tongue
• says "bruuum bruuum," when she sees a car or we say "Let's get in the car."
• is very alert and notices every single cough and sneeze when we are in public ~ she pats her chest to make sure the person is okay
• likes to have some quiet time with her books in her dog bed each day
• is a crankapotamus at the book store ~ too much sitting while mom browses
• has several words, some are clear and some we recognize based on the context in which she says them ~ hi, bye, pup, bah (ball), guh (goat, so random, but she can point out the goat in her books), bup (up), bap (lap), hep (help), bah (banana), puh (apple), mama, dada, chuh (cheese), hah (her way of saying yes with a big smile every time), tih tuh (tick tock = clock), dat! (that, as in "I want that!"), hah (hot), buh (balloon), yeah (copying me when she pretends to talk to the phone), Ayee (Annie), uh-oh, ah-si (outside), Pop (one of her granddads), bo (belly button), thhh (teeth), doh (down)
• likes to wear sunglasses, mostly inside
• has a tiny little wispy rat tail growing at the nape of her neck
• still no TV allowed
• loves her Little Gym class
• seems to understand "hot!"
