That's What She Said

This post is all for fun. We love "The Office" and watch reruns most evenings after Raegan goes to bed. We are sad to see Steve Carell leave; it definitely won't be the same without him. I don't ask for much, but I really need Michael and Holly to get back together! To celebrate the premier of the last season with good ole Michael Scott, here are my favorite episodes.

The Injury - Michael burns his foot in a George Foreman grill while trying to make bacon. What's not funny about that?! He spends the day with his foot in bubble wrap, demanding sympathy and special treatment from everyone.
Watch - Michael describing his injury

Safety Training - Michael tries to prove how dangerous the stress of an office can be by jumping off the roof onto a bouncy castle. The workers are not supposed to know the bouncy castle is there. Darryl brilliantly talks him down.
Darryl: "It takes courage just to be you, to get out of bed knowing full well you gotta be you. I couldn't do it!"
Michael: "I'm braver than you?"
Darryl: "Way braver! You Braveheart, man."
Michael: "I Braveheart."

Basketball - I laugh every time Michael takes one of many ridiculous shots, misses by a mile, and yells "What is with me today?! I usually hit those!" Stanley dribbles like a duck.

Fun Run - Michael plans a 5k run to benefit rabies. He has a giant check made out to Science and plans a 5k route that he doesn't think to have loop back to the office. He carbo loads 5 minutes before the race and refuses to drink water because people with rabies have an irrational fear of water. Solidarity!!

"Finishing that 5K was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I ate more fettuccini alfredo, and drank less water than I have in my entire life. People always talk about triumphs of the human spirit. Well today I had a triumph of the human body. That's why everybody was applauding for me at the end. I may have puked my guts out, but I never puked my heart out. And I am very proud of that."

The Recall - I love the apology video. "You have one day." "One day for what?" "That's... they always give an ultimatum." And one of Michael's best "that's what she said" moments:

All Michael: "I need two men on this. That's what she said. No time! But she did! No time!!"

Murder - Michael plans a murder mystery game to distract everyone from the possibility that the company might be bankrupt. Thick Savannah accents abound and a pretend shoot out at the end.
Watch - Stand Off

Stress Relief Part 1 - Oh my goodness, this episode is full of laughs! Dwight stages a fire to show his coworkers that they should have paid attention to safety training. Chaos ensues and Stanley has a heart attack. Michael tries to revive him with "Stanley, you are black! Stanley, Barrack is president!" Then a lady comes to teach them CPR to the beat of "Stayin' Alive." I'm laughing just thinking of this scene. Michael breaks into "First I was afraid, I was petrified." "No, Staylin' Alive, by the BeeGees." They start singing and dancing, meanwhile the dummy dies because no one called 911. I always love watching Kelly dance.

"namma namma namma namma namma namma namma namma Stayin' Alive, Stayin' Alive"

Watch - The Fire
Watch - CPR Training - hilarious!!

Sress Relief Part 2: To lighten the mood in the office and help Stanley's fragile heart, Michael stages a Roast in his own honor. Everyone finally has their chance to hurl insults at him and his feelings are hurt. The episode ends with Michael roasting each person, "Boom! Roasted!"

Honorable mention quotes:
"I got hit by Cupid's sparrow - funny little bird."
"Imagine if the devil exploded and evil were gone forever. What kind of party would you throw?!"
Picture Michael in a huge fur coat ~ "I love Burlington Coat Factory. You go in there with $645, you are literally a king."

My husband & I love love love The Office. I was cracking up just reading this post.

The Injury is one of my favorites, especially when Michael sticks his foot in the machine at the end.

I could go on & on about my favorite episodes.

Holly & Michael episodes were my favorites... and I've heard rumors she is back for at least six episodes this season!

I want to get in to this show because every time I see it on I end up watching and just laughing. I need to get over the fact that FRIENDS will not be on anymore :( Time to be attached to a new show. :)
