Giveaway Winner

Using my sophisticated method of drawing a name out of a cup, the giveaway winner is Kelli Kegley. I will be in contact to get started on your design. Thank you all for the nice comments!

Raegan has been doing really well with her sleeping lately. She has been sleeping from 9:30-6:00. Sometimes I get lucky and she sleeps in until 6:30 or 7:00 :) I guess I am slowly becoming a morning person. I hated 6:30 am conditioning for softball, but I always felt good about myself afterwards, and I have to say that time of the morning is very refreshing. Ryan was so kind to let me sleep late on my birthday and I felt like I had wasted the day away. I feel more productive when I get up early... actually getting out of bed is still the hard part. At least Raegan wakes us up in a good mood. We hear her jabbering to herself in her crib and sometimes I can tell she's trying to lick the blanket she's swaddled in.

So happy and full of smiles

Monday we went to play group and she seemed to notice the other babies and smiled. Next Monday is the play group Halloween party, but I haven't decided if I'm going to take her costume or not. I think it's going to be too big on her. I'm not sure what she weighs now... I'm guessing about 12 1/2 pounds. Her next appointment is November 8th for a check up and more shots. Hopefully Ryan can go with us because I did not enjoy the shots last time. Although, he'll probably melt when she screams. He's turned into quite a softy with her :) For the record, he's already admitted this.

We hope to check out a nearby pumpkin patch this weekend and take pictures of Raegan in her pumpkin shirt. All of the profits from pumpkin sales go to a local organization called Galloping Grace Youth Ranch, which provides free horse therapy to children. I bought Halloween goodies for the Trick-or-Treaters this week. I'm the mean lady who feels bad giving out more candy, so the little darlings will be getting Teddy Grahams and a small container of Play-Doh. Deep down they'll appreciate it. Oh, that reminds me of a story... a few years ago I was walking back to my car after lunch at SATCO when a homeless man asked me for money. I reluctantly gave him my only dollar coin (mainly to keep from opening the part of my wallet with bills). He looked at it and said, "That's it?!" I said, "Well, that's more than you had before" and walked off. I was excited about having a dollar coin, but he apparently was not as impressed with it. Maybe I should've asked for it back.

We're really looking forward to a visit from Mimi and Gran-D next weekend!!
