I ordered this fabulous diaper bag from Sherpani a couple of weeks ago for 30% off. I decided I liked it much better than the other one I had. It's already packed for the hospital. I packed socks, mittens, a hat, 3 outfits (probably too many), a blanket, 2 burp cloths, pacifiers, diapers, and wipes. Am I forgetting anything? I've typed the lists for mine and Ryan's bags, but haven't packed much yet. I had an appointment on Wednesday and everything still looks great for Tamale and me. I go again on June 3rd and then will go every week until she's born. By now she should be a little over 5 pounds. I'm measuring right one track, so it's hard to say if she's XL yet. I checked on the bedding this week and it's on back order from the manufacturer. It could take up to 10 more days as of Thursday.
Friday night we tried a new restaurant to celebrate the end of the school year. We both had really good burgers. Saturday was a lazy, rainy day and we didn't do much. It was nice to watch college softball all day! We had barbecue for dinner with Tony and Shaina and tried their new coffee they bought at a local roasting company.
I have a few things on my schedule this week. I think I'll pre-register us at the hospital on Tuesday, then I'm going to visit my friend Deszarae who just had a baby girl. I have a hair appointment on Thursday, and an appointment to meet a pediatrician on Friday. I'm going to start preparing and freezing meals soon. I have been meaning to try Super Suppers, but the one closest to us just closed. I think there's another one here, but I'm sure it's cheaper to prepare it myself at home, so I'm collecting recipes that sound like they will freeze well.
Ryan was proud of this picture. He likes to catch me off guard.
Aaaaand this about sums up how I'm feeling these days.

I am so excited for you guys! I can't wait until we can see Tamale and let us find out her name! Really, Dana, I know what people have probably been telling you, but in all honesty the best is yet to come. Don't worry about your labor, or how big the baby is, just enjoy every moment (even when it hurts) because we all get very few of those wonderful lifechanging moments - so just try to LIVE every one of them!!
