30 Weeks

This week I took back the damaged dresser and ordered a new one. All of the pieces to the crib and changing table look great. I think the dresser will be here by the time my dad gets here. I'm excited to see it all put together! Tuesday I found a nice surprise in the mail... a check for $310 for furniture we took to a consignment store! The pieces were in good shape, so I figured they would sell pretty quickly. Tamale was happy to have some spending money :)
I got the results back from my glucose screening and I don't have to take the 3 hour test! However, they recommended a B-12 injection once a week for 3 weeks to give my system a boost and prevent anemia. I got the first one on Friday. My mom made me ask the nurse about some of the levels from my lab results and write them down for her. She said they were just a little low, but nothing to be worried about. I think it's funny when she's in "nurse mode." My next appointment is on Friday and my dad is going with me. He's coming for a long weekend. By now, she weighs about 3 pounds and is 15 1/2 inches long. It seems like she moves around almost all day. I feel bad that she's running out of room in there. My favorite little guy in our class finally "got it" this week that I'm having a baby. Now he taps my stomach and says "baby!" A girl in another class said, "Miss Dana, umm, your stomach's getting big." I asked what she thought was in there and she said she didn't know.
In snowed for about an hour Friday morning, which was crazy, and it's supposed to be 80 degrees for most of the coming week. Friday night we made a pizza and stayed in. On Saturday, I pulled weeds. That was always my yard chore growing up and I hated it. I didn't realize how out of control our back yard was. At least it's a small area. The front wasn't bad at all, but I need to stay on top of things. We got a letter from the HOA about 3 weeks after we moved here last year about having weeds. At the time I didn't know what was a weed and what was planted, so I left all of it alone instead of ripping up our landscaping. We had dinner at Pei Wei and coffee with Tony and Shaina. I highly recommend Pei Wei if you've never tried it. I think they are owned by the same people who run P.F. Chang's. The food tastes the same to me. Their menu isn't as extensive, but the prices are lower and you will be served faster.
Check out my friend's website and these adorable new fabric cubes she's making.
