Trip to Nashville

We're back from a week-long visit to Nashville. The trip didn't start so well with our flight being delayed enough to cause us to miss our connecting fight in Kansas City. I cried all day... all day, just ask Ryan, poor thing! We spent the night in KC  and had a freehotel stay and dinner courtesy of Southwest Airlines. We got home early Sunday morning went straight to Cracker Barrel for pancakes. My parents showed us their nursery for the first time. There are a lot of little treasures that were mine when I was a baby. Later we had a tea with my side of the family and friends. We (she) got a lot of outfits and gifts. It was great to see so many special people!
On Tuesday my dad and I went to Murfreesboro to watch the TTU softball team play MTSU. It was a great game that went 8 innings and Tech won by one run. On Wednesday, Ryan and I had photos taken by the same couple who took our wedding pictures. The proofs should be online in about a week from now, and I can't wait to see them! I don't remember much about Thursday. All I know is that I had a Hardee's egg biscuit for breakfast and that's really all that matters. (We don't have Hardee's here). On Friday we celebrated my dad's birthday with my favorite dinner :) and watched "Quantum of Solace." Too bad he didn't like it (the movie, that is. The food was excellent).
On Saturday we had another tea with Ryan's family. They know me well and had plenty of mini quiche on hand. They also made a delicious coffee punch. I've read a couple of recipes and have been wanting to try some. That night my parents and I watched the women's NCAA tournament. I saw several games throughout the week and was very disappointed that UT lost in the first round. Sunday we left in the early afternoon. It's always hard to leave and I think everyone dreads the end of the visit approaching. We had an entertaining flight attendant on the way home who asked us about the baby. If you didn't know, a lot of movies are filmed in this area and it has been nicknamed "Tamale Wood." He suggested we name her Tamale and call her Molly. Until she's born I think I'd like to refer to her as Tamale. She's about 2 pounds by now and her movements are getting stronger. I wouldn't say they hurt, but I can definitely feel her bony jabs. It's a very strange feeling. I have a check up tomorrow and pretty soon will start going every 2 weeks instead of 4.
