We had our ultrasound this afternoon and everything looked good. I have to trust the ultrasound tech because I couldn't tell what I was looking at half the time. She took lots of measurements of the brain, leg bones, spine, feet, etc. Our baby girl weighs about 8 oz. Finding out the sex was the very last part of the process because she was curled up and wasn't in a position to tell. I think we woke her up from a nap :) Our payback will come soon enough I'm sure :) I'm so thankful that everything looked healthy and seems to be developing as it should. I gained about 4 pounds since my last appointment.
We haven't decided on a name yet, but when we do, we are not going to share it before the baby is born. Picking a name is a hard decision and one that we have and will continue to put a lot of thought in to. For that reason, it feels like a very personal decision and we know it would hurt our feelings if people tried to change our minds or give negative comments about the name we choose. I figure people are more likely to smile and be polite when the baby is right there in front of them. Before its born, I think people feel like they still have time to change your mind. I know that none of you would dare say such things, but I have friends who have been hurt by jokes and comments made about the name they chose. Sorry to spoil your fun, but please don't harass us!
