- still loves the ceiling fan
- 14 lbs. 3 oz. (95th percentile - Raegan was 9 pounds & 15 oz. at 2 months)
- 24 3/4"
- size 2 diapers
- size 6 month sleepers
- smiles when we talk to him
- testing out his voice and makes a sound that sounds like "hi!"
- stays awake happily during some errands if he doesn't fall asleep in the car
- will begin cloth diapers when the mega box of diapers runs out
Raegan is becoming more involved with caring for Wyatt. She picks out his outfits, velcros his diapers, brings him toys, and buckles his car seat straps. She calls him "my brother" just like she always refers to us "my dad" and "my mom." When he cries, she asks, "What's wrong with my brother?" We still maintain that she is the most well-adjusted, probably because she's the only one sleeping through the night.
big guy
His longest stretch so far at night has been 5 hours, but most nights it's 3 hours. I was hoping for more at this point, of course. I'm still nursing him and pumping a bottle for Ryan at night. I've had several obstacles with that, including a lovely bout with mastitis last week, but I'm hoping things will smooth out soon. I'm also suspecting a mild/moderate milk allergy in Wyatt, so I stopped dairy on Saturday morning... except for the cream in my coffee. Throw me a bone, here! This kid better move mountains because this hasn't been easy so far. In all of my complaining I will say that I'm very thankful he is latching without the shield. It took a lot of work and I was not terribly optimistic that it would happen. I know the nipple shield has it's purpose, and it was a helpful transition tool, but it is so frustrating! I may have thrown it across the room more than once in the middle of the night.
