I already finished On the Origin of Species and War and Peace is still on hold at the library.
What a drag. I guess I'll just play with this silly toy.
Look out, Sears catalog! Raegan is working on her poses for the new Spring collection.
She recently figured out how to pull down the bumper and make sure we see her cry as well as hear her.
Raegan is so close to being able to crawl! She can scoot backwards and pivot, but she hasn't crawled forward yet. She rocks on her hands and knees, and I find her like that often when she wakes up from naps. She has started "chewing" her food, even though it's just puree. I'm not sure what she's doing, but it's really funny. I think I pretend to eat while she's eating, so maybe she's imitating me. I put some Puffs on her tray feeling certain she would put them straight in her mouth since that's where everything else goes. She grabbed one at a time, inspected it, and put it back down. I put one in her mouth and she thought it was weird. She is finally digging avacados. I made some last weekend and pureed them instead of just mashing them with a fork. It looks like green pudding and she seems to think it's delicious. She's in 9 month clothing now with her fat-bottom diaper. She squeals really loudly while she plays and then coughs when she over-exerts her vocal cords :) She also drops small toys over the side of her Exersaucer. She gazes at them longingly and then looks at me. This seems to be a good time to introduce the sign for "help." For the past 2 months or more we've been signing "milk", "eat", "more", "change" (for diaper changes), and I recently added "all done" when she finishes her purees.
Saturday was quite an exciting day. First, I got new tennis shoes. I realized that I've had the same pair for 4 years which Ryan told me is a big no-no. Then we came home and steam cleaned the carpet in the living room. I'm already trying to decide what I should clean next! With Raegan playing on the floor and crawling soon, we feel better with it being freshly cleaned. We went out to eat with Tony and Shaina Saturday night and Raegan was such a big girl letting me drip water into her mouth with a straw. She would have preferred to drink straight form the glass, though. Today we went to a birthday party for a little boy in our play group. No clowns were present and a good time was had by all.
