Raegan put these dog ears on him. She knows how to make me laugh.
Wyatt:
- weighs 22 pounds and 8 ounces (90th percentile).
- is 30.5 inches long (97th percentile, length of an average 14 month old)
- seems to be signing "all done," "more," and "milk." If we don't see him subtly doing "all done" after a meal, he starts banging on his tray. In our defense, it's hard to tell with his constantly twirly hands.
- has 8 teeth.
- is getting 2 bottles of pumped milk a day in place of nursing so I can heal. He's adjusting really well and the healing is slow going.
- wakes up happy.
- falls sleep by himself.
- still wakes up once a night. Throw me a bone, here. A weaning plan has been instituted.
- says "buh" while playing with a ball.
- seems to feel like big time stuff with finger foods: chicken, turkey, peas, cheese, bananas, Cheerios.
- notices other babies his size.
- smiles at people when we run errands.
- waves and says something like "hi."
- says "ma ma ma" and has been saying "dah" for a while.
- plays with my necklace and any details on my shirt (buttons, lace) when he nurses.
- will eat most any puree as long as it's smooth. He doesn't like the chunky ones.
- is improving his pincer grasp for picking up food (finger and thumb).
- does not want a pacifier.
- plays a squinting game with Ryan.
- likes being outside.
- likes being naked.
- has very twirly hands and feet.
- pushes up on his arms and can scoot in a circle but is not crawling.
This is what I feel is coming towards me when he's hungry :) Brace for impact!
So, we realize do have that other kid, Raegan. She's doing really well in her 2nd year of preschool. No tears at drop-off! She says the boys are too wild, but I think she likes playing with some of them, and they seem to like her. The kids are much more social this year than last year.
