22 Months

She found the kitchen tongs and said "doctor!"

Her feet look huge because she's wearing my socks.

Nothing happened, she was just reading.

At 22 months, Raegan:

• loves to be outside, especially at playgrounds. We go every day that's not too windy. She gets so excited when we arrive and says "Hi, park! Hi, kids!" One of her favorite things to do is lift her feet and swing from overhead bars.
• is a great eater. Some favorite foods are cheese, oranges, scrambled eggs, applesauce, chocolate milk (Instant Breakfast), strawberries, chicken, yogurt, and she would eat cake every day if we let her.
• likes to have her picture taken so she can see it on the display screen.
• really wants a bike.
• can jump with both feet off the ground. She's been working so hard on jumping! Until recently, just one foot came off the ground and she worked herself in circles.
• follows any kid with a stuffed animal or doll at the play ground. If they let her hold it she walks off with it like it's hers, but she is very sweet to give it back when they want it.
• says "Good, Naygen!" when she does something she's proud of.
• is disappointed if there are no kids at the playground when we get there. This is usually because it's windy and the smart people are at home. We don't last long on those days.
• usually naps from 12:45-2:45.
• asks about all of the animals in Good Night, Gorrila. She thought the hyena was a dog. We told her it was called a hyena, so she compromised and calls it a Hi Dog and waves to it.
• checks out everyone's food at the park. People must think we don't feed her. I just think she would eat all day if food was in front of her.
• has become interested in our anatomical differences. Like any mature adult, I told her they were boobs. She came up to me yesterday, touched my shirt, and said "Two, free boobs." For the record, I only have two. I had to laugh and think about the episode of "Friends" where Chandler reveals his secret of a third nipple that he calls a nubbin.
• found her baby swing in the closet and gets in it, then says "mom turn" and wants me to get in.
• has been calling me "mommy" sometimes instead of the usual "mom."
• loves to read The Going to Bed Book any time of day. She really likes the moose.
• has been very clingy lately. She acts like this when her teeth hurt. She has one set of molars to go.
