Standing Up

trying mashed potatoes for the first time

the new obsession of standing in her bed

Not much hair on these two

We're back from a busy 10 day trip home to see family and friends. Raegan's skin looks much better, thanks to Nurse Mimi, a tube sock, and some moisture in the air for a change. Hopefully we're on to the right combination of treatment for her. We are using a product called TriDerma and Lubriderm lotion. I've tried CeraVe and Eucerin, but Lubriderm feels the best on my skin and seems to be the best for her so far.

Raegan was very busy exploring my parents' house and doing new things. She pulled herself to standing on some of their furniture. She opened lots of drawers, cabinet doors, and stood in her crib. If she's awake in her crib, she's standing up. Now I hold her for a couple of minutes until she falls asleep. If I don't, she'll flip over immediately and stand up at the rail. I tried putting her down awake, but it was a battle, and it's one I don't want to fight if I can solve it in 2 minutes by holding her. Before she figured out how to sit and stand in bed, she fell asleep on her own, so it's just a phase. Annie is still not crazy about her. Raegan wanted to be near her and touch her, but Annie kept her distance. It honestly sounded like Raegan was trying to say "Annie dog" whenever she saw Annie. It actually sounded more like "Ay duh," but I'm inclined to think she was speaking, since I already think she's a genius. She also played with her little cousins who seem to love her. She had 9 month pictures made and tried to eat the rose petals that were part of the set.

Sunday we took her outside and let her play with plastic eggs, but she was more interested in eating rocks. We went to breakfast and she was a hit in her bunny hat (the same one in a picture above). Her top front teeth have come through and she is grinding them against her bottom teeth. The sound gives me chills, so I try to quickly find something for her to chew on. She has her 9 month well-check this week, so I'll update later this week with her weight and other exciting information.
