Dawn is for the Birds

She's always so excited when Ryan comes home and she flashes him a big smile!

I left the dryer door open after getting some clothes out, and this is how I found her when I turned around.

We're finally on the mend around here. I woke up with a stomach virus last Monday morning and had to call Ryan to come home from work by 11:00. I'm sure it was some nastiness I brought home from the plane. After my stomach was stabelized, I got chills and body aches. I felt a little better by the time I went to bed that night. Then Ryan woke up with it Wednesday morning, and everything unfolded exactly as it did with me. We're very thankful Raegan didn't get it.

Raegan seems to be feeling a little better from her new teeth. She's still a little temperamental, but not too bad. She has been a little off-track with her schedule for the past 2-3 weeks. Before we went home, she had been sleeping until 7:30, which I was very pleased with. As soon as we got to Nashville, she started waking up between 5:30 and 6:30. She has slept until 7:00 a couple of mornings since we've been back, but I'm really missing both of us sleeping until at least 7:00. Shockingly, I've never been a morning person. Waking up early to a smiley baby helps, but it's still not my preference. For some reason, my mind is stuck on 7:00, and anything earlier is just ungodly. If the sun's not up, it's just not right. On a positive note, her skin is doing great! A little spot on her foot popped up last week, but it's under control and her leg and stomach (the worst places) are still very smooth and no sign of anything creeping back for now.

I think she might be signing "milk," although it closely resembles her sideways/upside down version of waving. She sees the bottle on the table as we sit down to get situated and squeezes her hand. Of course she may just be waving at it and saying, "Come here to me." She's getting into everything. I'm still not used to how much ground she can cover. In my mind she's still learning to crawl, and I'm always surprised to look down and see her right behind me when I turn around. She discovered the inside of the dryer today and pulled up at the toilet. I cleaned the bathroom two days ago, but it's still a bathroom. She spun the toilet paper roll a couple of times, but it didn't unravel. I'm sure that will happen soon enough.
