Love from Gran-D

I finally got a good picture of her smiling

We had a busy week in anticipation of a visit from Mimi and Gran-D. On Monday we went to play group and had a Halloween party. She didn't wear her costume, but she did wear a festive shirt that said "Ghouls just wanna have fun." She had fun looking around the house and babbling with Jazmin. We ran a couple of errands during the week and were so excited to discover our Instant Breakfast at Target! We've been ordering it online because we can't find the kind we like - No Sugar Added Chocolate.

We picked up Mimi and Gran-D Friday and went to lunch. Then we played at home until Ryan got home from work. Raegan figured out how to suck on her fingers and has been very busy with that all weekend. Sometimes a finger slips up her nose when she misses her target, and she doesn't seem to mind. I looked back at her in the car mirror this morning and it looked like she was smoking. She had her index finger and middle finger over her mouth, just hanging out.
I think she'll roll over very soon

Can you believe we didn't have a single trick-or-treater?! Maybe they heard I was giving out Play-Doh. At least I'm not stuck with a bunch of candy I don't need to be eating. I took it to play group today and the kids (and moms) were excited to get it. Raegan loved her costume! I assumed she would hate having it on, but she even took a little nap in it. I bought that costume because it made me think of her when she was really little (since she's so old now). I used to call her my little monkey when she had the Moro reflex all the time - the one that makes babies feel like they're falling and fling their arms out like a monkey falling from their mother in a tree. I got the little felt banana on etsy and she can keep playing with that for a while.

The tail makes it even cuter

Sunday morning we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then hung out at home and watched the World Series again. We took Mimi and Gran-D to the airport this morning :( and went to play group. I am so proud that I ate cucumbers today! I tried them about 4 years ago and thought they were disgusting. Maybe I bought a bad one because I don't know how to pick out good produce if it's something I don't normally buy. I'm pleased with my discovery and my healthy horizons are expanding one vegetable at a time.

When the workin' day is done... ghouls just wanna nap
