Her diapers arrived Tuesday and I'm so excited... over diapers, I know. I washed them according to the instructions and they are ready to go when we decide to transition to them. I signed up for a mailing list for a diaper site and got a 10% off code, so I ordered the toilet sprayer and a few cloth wipes to try with the diapers. I never thought about cloth wipes until recently. I've changed enough diapers to know that the natural thing to do is wrap the wipe in the diaper and throw it all away. Since you don't throw away cloth diapers you're left with a potentially unpleasant disposable wipe to get rid of. With a cloth wipe you just put it in the diaper and fold it all up for washing. We'll see how it goes.
I actually had a couple of nights of really good sleep this week. I could tell because I could barely mumble "bye" to Ryan when he left for work. I'm usually wide awake these days when he's getting ready. Prime example: I was cleaning toilets by 7 am Wednesday morning. It seemed urgent :) I finished reading The Happiest Baby on the Block. I really enjoyed it and hope I remember the techniques when I need them. I guess I haven't done anything majorly exciting this week. I'm trying to straighten up the house and do last-minute errands. I feel restless at home, especially on weekends, like I should be doing something productive. Saturday night we ate at home and then went out for coffee with Tony and Shaina. Sunday morning I made French toast for the first time and Ryan made bacon. We had a pretty quiet day at home. Tamale got Ryan a card and story book for his first Father's Day. We're just waiting to meet her any day now. I'll update after my appointment on Tuesday.

I have considered cloth diapers. Fortunately there is a service here in East Nashville that comes to your home, delivers 70 diapers a week and picks up and cleans the used diapers each week for the low cost of $17/week. Pretty nice comparison for the real thing and the nastyness it does to landfills, etc.
There's always the SNL option of the edible diapers...kidding. That was sick!
